How much time are you wasting filing email, or fighting Spam?

Hey, stop for a moment and ask yourself if you, or your staff, are spending lots of time just filing email?

Or maybe you have just given up?

And maybe you are wasting lots of time fending off Spam?

If so, relief is in sight.

Consider using Google Apps for your email.

Earlier today I wrote an article on one of my other blogs about Spam:

Besides a cool pic, the article provides more information on how Google Apps can help with Spam.

Suffering From Lots Of Spam?

Now on to email filing….

Google Apps has an email search facility which is, of course, provided by the masters of search – Google. Google Apps also has a system of labels and ‘conversations’. Conversations are where a series of connected emails are all linked together automatically. Labels are a way of tagging emails, similar to in some ways to folders. This whole mix means an end to tedious and time wasting filing. It is so easy to find stuff and the other thing I have noticed is that under the old folder system of email filing which I used to employ, at times I could not recall which folder something was in and therefore couldn’t find it. How stupid was that! Now, when I have finished with an email, and if I don’t want to apply a label, I simply click the Archive button and the email disappears from my inbox for later retrieval if necessary. Labels can be handy for special projects, important items or in conjunction with filters.
