Earth Day is on April 22nd

Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year.

You can find out more about Earth Day here.

I remember the days when I thought that the earth, green awareness/actions and so on were a waste of time.

In fact, I used to be a chronic litterer and recall the time when on a motor car journey I was eating as I drove, throwing the packaging out the window into beautiful countryside – all because I did not want rubbish in my nice new car. The situation was so bad that when I pulled up at some traffic lights on entering a settlement, the guy in the auto behind got out and gave me an earful about how he had been following me for miles, watching my consistent littering. As this was in the late 1970′s, people still bothered to take issue back then. Yes, I was indeed a selfish, stupid, thoughtless git.

Today of course, I am very different and regret my former attitude.

If you are thinking about how you can become more earth/green/eco focused then you might be interested in checking out some of the ideas, books and products at Amazon who are offering Earth Day savings.
