Google’s new (2008) site: 10 steps to promote your business online.
Yes that’s right, Google has quietly produced a very useful tool for online business promotion. As far as I know it was released in August 2008, and has a .com.au Australian domain extension.
The site description (viewed in the source code) comments as follows:
“Learn how to connect with your customers online through search marketing. Enter your own information to develop a customized marketing plan for your business. Learn key concepts about online and search marketing to promote your business online.”

I have reviewed the site and stress that it is important to be aware that the service is more suited to beginners in Internet marketing, or those who have absolutely no idea at all.
Some sections of the 10 steps have links within them which take you to a Google search results page for the particular topic being covered – some examples being domain name registrations and web hosting. Discretion and due diligence are still required.
