Question: I would like to hear more about this path of yours… especially regarding truth. How long have you been a Shaman, what led you to it?

Recently, someone asked me:

“I would like to hear more about this path of yours… especially regarding truth. How long have you been a Shaman, what led you to it?”

Truth – real truth is one of the most precious things one can discover. Ego’s, opinions, deep seated beliefs all get in the way.

First, one has to want the real truth deep down. Life gives whatever is really wanted deep down and cannot violate that law. Sowing leads to reaping.

One needs to actively seek truth.

One has to embrace truth and turn from deception when life reveals it. Thus the path of truth grows firmer.

This world is clearly other dimensional and we are here for a short time only.

I choose to live in the spiritual dimension because we are all going there soon so why not start now? To live spirit on earth makes a great deal of simple sense.

Love (from spirit), by definition, has to include those of low intellect so that they can understand things. Many profound truths are therefore very simple. This ties in with the wonder and value of a humble mindset; which is to be cherished.

Shamanism was the world’s first “religion” or spirituality. Basic, simple, nature based and involving interaction with spirits and other ethereal energies. We can see that other religious and spiritual ideas have elements common to Shamanism.

In a sense, I have always been a Shaman and discovered that I was “chosen”. For a large part of my life I did not know “who” I was. It is only in relatively recent times (last 23 years or so) that I started to manifest.

Not all followers of Shamanism are Shamans of course.

I have suffered terribly and faced death – looking over the “edge”. This peaked in 87 when I crossed my personal Rubicon. Many Shamans go through a very intense experience to start with which can in some cases nearly kill them. This is not true of followers of Shamanism, nor for all Shamans.

I rely for wisdom, strength and power on the spiritual world. Because of where I have been/come from I know deep down never to rely on my own mind. It makes me incredibly strong (and relaxed) because I do not need to rely on weak little me.

Einstein said: “I just want to know the thoughts of God. The rest are details.” There is a lot that can be learned from considering what he said. For example: here is one of the most intelligent, academic, logical minds we have seen and yet he says such an apparently illogical thing! There is a message there for all the sceptics (septics), “uber scientists” and other pontificators.

Some Intelligence officers, Police officers and specialist military personnel have been involved with, and made use of, psychic or other spiritual phenomena – this is well reported and documented. Now, these are people with rational, factually based mindsets with a results orientated focus. Even a simple mind can see that the truth of these things beckons. So why wait until passing from this world to tune in? If more people tuned in to true spirituality (not religious dogma or fanaticism; of which there have been many flavors throughout history) the world would be a better place.

I am very logical, academic, a member of what may be termed the “intelligentsia” and yet I love simplicity and humility. If I find one of my opinions is incorrect then I get rid of it ASAP. Sometimes it takes a while, especially if I have been “pickled” in it.

I recommend reading various books on Shamanism. One is: Entering The Circle by Olga Kharitidi M.D. – She is a Psychiatrist originating in Russia – Ancient secrets of Siberian wisdom. This book answers many general questions people will have and is a fascinating read. I especially like the fact that it is written by an accomplished and qualified Psychiatrist, which will be important to some people who like to know of credentials prior to opening their minds to ideas.
